Question Magnesium levels

Hello all....

Quick question, Just did my water testing last night on my 45 gl tank(reef)
and all was pretty good except my Mg levels were high at 1800ppm.

Now I think this is due to me over-dosing with Mag supplement the last couple of weeks in order to raise my Mg levels...( They were low) In turn I was having problems keeping my Calcium levels up to par.
Calcium levels are fine now.( 420-430 )

So i just wanted to know if the High Mg levels are any cause for concern? or just leave them alone for now.... I was thinking that they will come down overtime with my water changes?
Thx

I don't know of any data on magnesium toxicity that's relevant. I'd do some water changes to bring the level down, but that might not be necessary.

I agree with just doing some water changes. I haven't noticed any negative effects in the tank as of yet, so hopefully all is well.
thx
