JBJ 45 Rimless Flat Panel build
Hey all.. new to this forum but thought I would share my latest tank build for anyone interested. Today I have received the new JBJ 45 Rimless flat panel tank and stand. I have assembled the stand in less then 45 mins. I don't get how some people complained about stand being difficult to assemble. But anyways.. I will be putting the stand and tank in place tonight with some pics to come.
a little about me.. I am ex freshwater guy and went salterwater 15 years ago. I started a 100 SCA tank last year and had to sell it due to new job and work distance. Things have changed and I am now able to get a tank.. Anyway here is a list of goodies: JBJ 45 Rimless Flat Panel tank Cad Lights PLS-50 Elite II Skimmer Tunze return pump (replacing the stock) existing 300 Watt heater from my old tank 2 MP10 WQD pumps AI Hydra 26 HD (might upgrade to 52 if not enough light) Santa Monica Drop 1.2 Algae Reactor Innovative Marine reactors for GFO Aqua Forest Life Bio Reeflink Ink Bird ITC-308 controller for the heater and fan 40 lbs rock Tropic Eden Tonga reef 3.5 mm I am really liking the Zoas now, I will have a lot of zoa and some LPS. I am not sure about sps at this point. Maybe ina year or so after tank is established. |

Bought some rock last week from a reefer ON Manhattan reef. Great I saved some money, I bleached rock and let it dry out. Then I used some prime to get the bleach out the water. After drying the rock I started to scape my rock and 2 main large pieces of the base rock starting to break off with now pressure from me. I can easily grab the rock and break it in half. Well I am not sure why or how old the rock is but i dumped it all in garbage. I am waiting on rock to get here hopefully in a few days. Same goes for the tank. I hope it gets here in one piece.
