Final Prints.. I'm psyched to see which one looks best. My bets on the more reflective 1st print (engineering grade). Mad props go to @ReeferRoo at reef 2 reef for printing them for me. They look great!

I would have used the 4x2 & ply to build formwork, to fill with concrete, for a tank this size.
Or better yet Good luck anyway. |

Nice to see some progress man! I love BioShock. Can we see the sump room? I'd like to see the top panels, overflow and your manhole access.

Sorry twinfallz wasnt trying to be short i am just well aware of the risks as they've kept me up many a night haha I always have to mention that i did place angle iron throughout the build for extra support.
So i received the prints (which look fantastic reeferoo) and ordered the rest of the sump plumbing... 1 - 50' roll of 2" flex hosing 2 - 4000gph submersible pumps 1- 16 foot ip68 LED rope light (to illuminate the picture) 1 - hole saw kit (need some holes cut for the waterbridge) 6 - cans of Krylon Fusion Expresso The next photos should look pretty cool |

@dt204 I'll address all of your sump photos as soon as i finish the green marine paint step.
Currently the epoxy black is hard to photograph so it should be easier to see once it's green. Last edited by krazyk148; 01/19/2018 at 08:30 AM. |

Am I the only one hoping that this is one long multi-year april fool's joke?
Build tiny 1/32 scale fish tank model over 2+years. Post pictures. Make community hyper-ventilate. Either way, I'm in. |

Great build/thread. Encompasses 3 things I am passionate about: Aquariums, gaming and DIY. I hope that you are successful inside the box while thinking so far outside of it! Definitely following.

I can not wait for you to have it filled so all the naysayers can eat their words.
Just filled with a bunch of people that have never ventured "outside" the box and just repeat everything everyone else says. Rock on! |

Ok the latest update the picture has been applied and the tank is ready for the decorative krylon painting. The only hiccup I’ve had is that the led lighting that I originally was going to place behind the bulkhead is too reflective, so I think i'm just going to install a steampunk style sconce on either side of the tank (exterior). The photo doesn't require much lighting to "glow".

A few shots of the top. i still have to silicone around each acrylic panel. Ill then pull the panels off of the silicone which should leave a nice gasket. The "manhole" entrance is the larger opening. (still a tight squeeze) haha
