YIPPEEEEE!!! it's been a long time coming since my brother destroyed my colony of ochtodes. i've gotten a few new algaes today. i'll post pictures when i get a chance. total of 4 new algaes today... ochtodes, a red one that really looks like a tree, brown leafy algae and a diff. red sp. of gracilaria.

here you guys go.
i didn't get a chance to snap the brown leafy kelp or the other gracilaria. these two that i snapped are interesting.

heres the red "tree". if you can see this in person you'd think it was a tree. it has thick stem w/ triangular leaves growing from it. the guy i got it from broke it off his rock for me. i have a rubberband to hold it against the rock.

here are the ochtodes. i got it from the same guy that gave it to me before. he said it hasn't grown for him since... he chipped me off a rock of it.

That's neat.

If anyone is dying for some ochtodes, mine seems to be growing gangbusters. Send an email or PM

Cheers,
Ben

I think I just got some ochtodes as a hitchhiker today. It is on a rock with 14+++ yummas, and so other stuff that I am still waiting to open up so I can ID it.

Bought the piece rock for $40!!!!!!! I was so excited. My LFS guy had just gotten it and was still aclimating it, I don't think he saw half of the stuff I am seeing or the price would have been much much more....

I always love a good deal!!!
