Yes, with EU outlets, 240 V, only on\off control, no probes, no outlet programming available to demo. All other specs are the same. They quoted by Q1 2013 or December 2012. So really who knows.

thanks for that update. This controller has been n the works for over 5 years to my knowledge and will be out of date before its released. Wonder what will happen for a true US release date.

Yup time to look at other alternatives. What a joke and yes Vertex should be embarrassed as I know I would be if I was them.

I've not read through this whole thread but I did talk to Vertex a bit about this controller...(After my base unit of Apex decided to burn out while I was at MACNA!) Seems the latest build is on the ICS FW of Android and they "said" targeting a release in December of 2013. This is a target date but I'd prefer a company do it's R&D rather than releasing a product that's not fully tested, considering it's the brains of our reefs. I found it especially interesting that one of the engineers building it said that it'd integrate with Apex modules. Did not elaborate on everything it would be would be nice so I don't lose all the money I've put into the Apex!

That all being said...Here are some pics I snapped at MACNA:

That was a mistake. I meant December 2012 is what they said at MACNA.

The word I got this week from a pretty reliable source is January or Feb 2013 as they are just working on the final stages of the programming now.

Any update on the release date and price? I'm about to go out and buy an apex, but I also want to buy a Libra doser so I would like to have that integration.

Nothing definite, only some estimated time frames from them right now. Sorry for the not so great news.

Well stated sir. They (Vertex) said the Apex modules would integrate with the Cerebra so that's what I'd like to bank on. While I like my Apex, I'm a gadget nerd and controllers on the market currently are very dated need some major updating (Like wireless?!). A new controller maker could easily sweep the market as it stands today. I'd love to see wireless and redundancy for the main brain so I'm not stuck in situations like this year where my Apex burnt up shortly after arriving at MACNA.

In almost ready to just buy an Apex. I'm holding out, but the lack of any kind of information from vertex is making me want to buy something else. I wouldn't mind holding out if there was more info out there.
