SRO BR-110 or 140?

I was wondering if you could recommend one of the two bio-pellet reactors mentioned in the thread title. I have a 200 gallon with a 50 gallon sump. With water displacement I am running roughly 160-180 gallons total. I intend on running WM pellets; for that water volume I am looking at 1000 ml max of pellets. On some sites they rate the BR 110 for 850ml, other vendors have it at 1000ml max. Can I get away with the BR 110 or bump it to the 140?

Thanks in advance.

Jason

Hello Jason,
If you run the Reef Octopus biospheres you can get away with running the BR 110. I feel if you use the WM bio pellets you need to jump up to the BR 140. I am a huge fan of the Biospheres. Please feel free to give me a call if you have any other questions.

Thank you
Mike

Mike,

I just picked up the BR-110 and am about to hook it up. I went through my growing collection of pumps and only have a Mag 2 to put on the reactor. Should I look to bump it to a Mag 3 or a 5 as I can not tee off my return. What is the optimal flow rating for this reactor?
