Big Meaty Brains

We've just added a large group of very nice looking Acanthophyllia deshayesiana aka Meat Coral aka Tooth Coral to PhishyBusiness.com.

This very large polyped stony coral is hard to come by, but very easy to care for. As long as basic tank chemistry conditions are in good shape, this coral will flourish under moderate light and low to medium flow. It does best when placed directly on the bottom of the tank, with plenty of space to expand. While not totally necessary, this coral will look its best when offered small meaty foods once a week (chopped silversides, shrimp, krill, and even cube formula foods work well). They are similar to Scolymia, but supersized. We've seen exceptionally large individuals expand nearly 18" across, though this is rare.
