Reef Octopus Classic 150INT vs eshoppe psk150

Would this be a side grade or would this be an upgrade. And my next question is would it be more advantageous to just drop 300-400$ on something else.

I've heard the quality in product vs $$$ argument. I want the performance argument. My current skimmer pulls stuff out but I feel like I need to be skimming very wet in order to get anything out. I never get a dark green slime, only a faint green water.

My fish tank is a 60cube with 30 sump. Only 6 fish at the moment and a few corals.
