Canopy design
I'm looking for design help on a canopy for my new tank.
I want it to be: Elegant Low profile Cost effective Accessible The tank will be 48" x 42" and in a corner. I would like the canopy to "look" attached to the wall so it looks like a finished piece of furniture/cabinet. The lights are LED black boxes, so ideally, they would sit on top and have their ventilation fans exposed to the room. I have a couple of ideas, but I'm always looking for a better way. Let's see what you got...

Whats the design of the stand?
Always good to match the same trim work,etc.... modern? rustic? shaker? craftsman? ,etc... want it to open? just lift off? swing out doors? swing up?

The stand will have raised panel doors that I am going to build myself. So, I shouldn't have a problem matching the style.
My current canopy is a lift up Canopy, but since this tank will be twice as deep I want to make sure that I have sufficient access if need be. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I built this for someone, raised panel doors on a face frame w/ a piano hinge, lift up or swing open, quick release hinges, gives max access, might help w/ ideas for you.

That looks great! Unfortunately, mine is not going to be able to be built as a cabinet above the tank. There is a vaulted ceiling above the tank, so I need to have a canopy, not a cabinet
