This is a frogspawn right? And not a hammer?
Thanks for id help. |

Big beautiful Hammer in the back and Frog in front. Before I bet my life on it I would want a better photo though. Looking for multiple heads on each arm.

the one on the left back looks like hammer, but the one on the right back shows multiple head on one arm. both pieces are supposed to be the same (came from the same colony). The one on left has 4 heads and 3 heads on the right one.
The piece in foreground is a grape coral (looks like a torch, but was told it is a grape coral). |

I was just looking closer at my corals that were sold as Hammers; one looks exactly like your photo and my other doesn't have multiple hammer heads on each arm. Go figure. I hope some other more experienced coral people will comment. I'll be following.

this looks the same as the foreground piece in my first picture.
I asked for id in the other site, and the consensus is it is a grape coral. liveaquaria has one that looks the same. Quote:

I have a very similar one that has characteristics of both hammers and frogspawn. Im almost certain its a different species of euphyllia and not a true hammer o a true frogspawn. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
