Show us your Show Piece! (Big Coral)
I know a lot of us have that one coral that is just grown huge and is what most people classify as a "Show Piece" for their displays. Please post some pic's of your huge coral, so we can all see that beauty!
Here is a galaxea I just recently got rid of because it got to big! It was the size of a large grapefruit! (Please don't post that small frag of something you got for tons of money or traded someone.) Thanks Bill Last edited by blide; 09/29/2005 at 08:44 AM. |

This pic is a couple of months old but you get the idea. It's a yellow leather that is over 15" from front to back.

Its a toss up between everything in my tank,& these two.
The reason why I chose this one (sinulara) is because it was almost dead when I rescued it 3mo ago it was only 1 branch poorly glued to a rock. These G.I Joe zoas i got yestorday are awesome, imo.

Herer is my Elegance coral. I have taken 3 nice sized frags off of it, otherwise it would be about twice as large.

I had one like this one but not as nice looking. For the longest time the tentacles wouldn't come out and so I made frags of it. These are two of the frags that came out of it. I was amazed at how the piece that I had was so unattractive that the great looking frags came out of it. |

Big green milli started out as a lowly frag, it's about 20% bigger than this pic and I "shave" a bit off the front every time I use my cleaning magnet!!

I have had this for 5 and a half years. I have fragged huge pieces off of it several times. It was probably 4 or 5 inches when I got it and is now 16 inches across. If it was actually "stretched out" I have no idea how large it would be.

I think people are missing the point of this thread. The intension was to showcase LARGE SHOW PIECE corals. He specifically stated not to post frags...it wasnt had to follow the criteria. I dont have a large show piece colony hence...I didnt post a pic.

I just don't understand what the big deal is.If someone doesn't like the "frags" then simply scroll down paying no attention to the "frag" pics.Cant we all just get along.
