Heed help no experience making QT and treating 2 diseases at once

So i am making my QT its a 46 gallon bowfront
i will be treating a moderate ich breakout (first one) starting with a new hippo tang. 1 fish also has popeye from an abrasion on his eye.
unfortunatly he has the worst case of itch in the tank also
i will be using cupramine.
my question is what kind of media should i put into this filter

Now this will be my filtration+

Any suggestions on how to do this cause it will be a first
how do i go about making biological filtration with no live sand and no live rock.
Also how will i treat the fish with the popeye and itch and what type of antiboitic do ppl use to treat this.
\how long will everything take
any past experience and suggestions will hlp thanks guys ahead of time

Popeye will heal on it's own is the fish is put in clean water, a stress free environment, and fed healthy food.

Would use Selcon or other vitamins and add liquid garlic to the food.

I agree with not treating for popeye. 2 medications at the same time is bad news. Just treat the ich and keep the water pristine. Just run sponge in the filter. If you have any cycled sponge somewhere in your system it would be helpfull in keeping the new tank ammonia / nitrite free... You are going to have to watch close for a cycle though. It should take 4- 6 weeks of treatment to break the life cycle. As well obviously leave the main tank fallow for that time period.

I guess it would be a good time to add new uncured live rock to my DT and do some new aquascaping

I have heard that dosing with copper will cure many diseases. That is your best bet probably. Some others can probably lend more advice than what I have. I believe that is what cupramine is anyways so I would say stick to that.

You can use bioballs if they have been colonized w/ bacteria, and sacrificing a few small pieces of LR to stay in QT would be wise. You could add fish immediately, just watch out after feeding for NH3 spike and subsequent NO2. Be ready for WCs, and maybe have some Prime or Amquel on hand.

I believe anywhere from 48hrs to a few days. It would be hard to guess, but a few days should be sufficient.
Do you have bioballs from your's or someone else's tank that you could put in the QT tank?
Can you not use a few pieces of LR from the DT?
If you have any sponge material or floss that is in your DT, you can cut it and put it in the AC filter( a LFS could easily help you out w/ that).
If you don't feed, you will be OK for a couple of days, but test frequently. And you can always add Prime or Amquel prophylactically every few hours.

medicating with copper and AB at the same time might be risky. I would just medicate the fish with Ich with copper of Hyposalinity and watch the fish with eye abrasion if it seems to improve in the coming days. in case it continues wo worsen then maybe administering antibiotics with food or in a bath in an external bowl could be beneficial. make sure to return the fish to the Q tank without the treated water. one bad aspect to this would be netting the fish every day as that might affect the eye further. If you can scoop it out that should be better.
