6095 noise
I just purchased two brand new 6095. One is completely silent. The other has a hum/vibration sound that is audible above 50%, and can be heard across the room at 100%.
I currently have them both installed on my overflow walls, i.e. not much space between the magnets. I saw another thread where you mentioned this could be an issue. However since one is silent I thought I would ask if there is anything else I should check? I have not dis-assembled them, they went from their box directly into the tank. Thank you! |

I would give them a couple weeks, their is a break in for parts to seat and the general factory guidance is 2 weeks for 50% noise reduction and a further 6 weeks for another 50% noise reduction (75% less noise after 8 weeks). If the noise is not reduced after 2 weeks, try swapping the drive units between the pumps, if it follows the drive unit, we will send one. Magnets are more of an issue with the Stream 3, they affect the magnetic levitation, not so much of an issue with the other models but it is worth ruling out any hard surface contact by the pump or cable against something that can cause vibration noise.
