Happy to say I received my Vega Color and controller! LED is totally new to me, I have ditched VHO and halides on my 120. I am running a 4x24 ATI PM on one side of the tank, and the Vega on the other side. I want to compare the difference between T5/LED, and I imagine I will order my other Vega in the near future if I like the results. Just playing with the controller and the functions, its pretty cool. The wife seems to like it

I however, wish it came with explanations for everything in the menu, as well as making the controller battery operated.

Question: How high should they be mounted off of the surface(AI SOL recommened at 8"-12")? I have mine at 9.5" and throughout the test run, I am seeing highest part of 150ish at my highest coral, where with my 150w HQI and VHO I was hitting 250.

I will post PAR comparisons tomorrow likely as I will grab some tests with the lights fully on instead of the test run(I got home late tonight

Well I guess one cannot completely compare PAR values between LEDS/Halides, and to what extent comparisons can be made, that I do not know. This is all new to me. But here are quick readings: All my info I typed onto the pic didn't show. But this is mounted 9.5" off the surface of a 120g tank. One Vega Color only. I currently have coral aclimation mode on at a 50% reduction for 2 months.
