Dead chaeto?

Does anyone know what dead chaeto looks or feels like? I have had it in my fuge for a long time, but it doesn't seem to be growing anymore. It is still green, but it feels more "crunchy" than it used to. Any ideas?

Crunchy and green is good. It turns pale green or brown, limp and tends to fall apart when it's dying.

Ok, thanks. It must still be good, just getting more dense and not so bulky.

Pull the dense bits apart. The more spread out it is, the more light it can get. Should help growth a bit.
