Hype, couple questions.

Of your lights you have had, do you prefer the last one the most?
Would you be able to get away without having a chiller on the tank?
How often do you change the T5 bulbs?

Thanks and looking amazing as always!

Out of all the light combinations ive tried i prefer my current setup as i feel it gives me the best combination of coloration, growth and aesthetics.

Probably but i prefer to run my tank a bit cooler than most.

Every 8 months

Thanks alot timothy its much appreciated.

Hype,

Sorry if I missed it, but do you have any pictures of how you have your light hung above your tank? I am trying to find a way to hang an ATI fixture above a tank where I can't go from the ceiling or stand (my desk at work). Thanks.

Do you run the LED's just for the shimmer effect or what is the purpose behind them? Also, where did you find the mounts for them to attach them to your ATI fixture?

Well i prefer the unique "pop" that royal blue LED's give to corals that fluoresce. The reefbrites also add just as much PAR as a T5 bulb. The mounts are included with the LED's.

Thanks leto. No unfortunately i lost her a few months back. She had gotten tail rot and while i was succesful in treating the infection she stopped eating altogether while in quarantine. I was pretty bummed about as i had her for over 2 years.

I actually asked a while back. Chris at Pico Aquariums... Unfortunately he isn't doing custom tanks at this time. A similar setup is the Deep Blue Professional 30 gallon frag tank. It is just a few inches taller.

Rehype- just wanted to say I really enjoy this system. I have been watching it since the beginning and what you have been able to accomplish is exceptional.

So sad but 2 years IMO means you did something right. Sometimes its just their time to go.
I am soon setting up my my own seahorse nano. As far as seahorse tankmates I was thinking a few cardinals specifically Bangali (Black and Silver) if I remember correctly I think you had the two together. Did you have any issues?
