Eye Irritation - Neon Dottyback

Hey guys i noticed that my dottyback has a swollen right eye that's milky white. Sorry about the crappy pictures, he's fast and hiding all the time.

What do you think about:

1) Causes
2) Treatment
3) Prognosis

Right now, i'm on the feed-well and change the water program.

Just a quick Google search with your described symptoms "popeye" came up. From what I read it's a bacterial infection I'm not saying this is what you have for sure but you may want to look in to it. Hopefully your fish will be ok.

it could be the fish hitting itself against the rockwork.

Epsom salt, 1 tablespoon per 5g will help with popeye due to injury (1 eye instead of both) otherwise all you can do is use antibiotics which will kill a reef tank.

He's a few years old, so I have trouble believing that he is just going to start running into the rocks now, but who knows i guess.

That's interesting. It is just one eye... Does anyone else have experience adding Epsom salts to the tank? What effect would that have on corals, crab, sea stars, etc?
