Do Red Sea Reefers or Waterbox setups go on sale?

Does anyone know when, or if, Red Sea Reefers or Waterbox aquarium setups go on sale?

I ask because originally I had planned a 40g breeder setup, but after pricing out all the needed parts and equipment it won’t be terribly much more to just buy a complete setup from these companies.

Looking at the RedSea 170 or the Waterbox 60.2.

I always worry about buying lightly used. Makes me wonder why it was used for such a short time.

Usually they'll only be on sale at shows, where they don't want to take them back with them. If you find a store that is a preferred dealer, at least with red sea, they'll be slightly cheaper than others.

if the used price is close to a new price, then just buy new.
all used items for sale all of a sudden become like new or lightly used.

Isn't RAP in New York is coming soon, not sure if you are going, but sometimes you can buy tanks on Sunday, but you will need to get them home that night. There is always a good price on a used tank on the other side of the country or in your case the lower half.

http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=2693580 Something to think about, the bits alone are worth a lot. Plus that Schuran is a rare beauty of a calcium reactor.

Yeah that is quite a setup. I think I’m going a slightly smaller route. Found a good deal on a lightly used Waterbox 15g. Questioning on drilling it to put a sump. Either way excited to get this going!
