Identify?

Found this growing next to my birdsnest. Any idea what it is? Doesn’t seem to wave with water flow. Looks pretty rigid.

It looks like some type of bubble algae.

I’ve also noticed that this type always grows on or around a coral frag. Maybe that’s coincidence, but just what I’ve seen in my tank.

I don’t think it’s bubble algae. I had some of this on a frag I got from reefapalooza this year and I did some research. I think it may be a type of seaweed! It’s hard to the touch and not slimy like bubble algae is. Hope this helps!
