My 500 Gallon SPS Reef Tank

MY name is rob and i own a 500 gallon reef tank that is SPS dominated. Here is a vid of the tank and filtration room. Enjoy, i have lots of photos of when i purchased the tank from a fellow reefer here, picking it up at his home via a Professional Aqurium moving business here in New Hampshire and moving it to my home where it has been up and running now foe exactly two years, if possible watch in HD or at least 720P. again enjoy. ALSO please subscribe to the gentlemen's you tube channel who took the vid and giving the instructions on fragging. Jay The Fish Guy from TFG aquarium services in plymouth New Hampshire. He is a great guy and very knowledgeable in the hobby.

I found this tank for sale here on Reef Central back in 2015 and purchased it and had a local Company that deals with the moving of Aquariums Handle The move. Here is the tank and its filtration room of the former owner and before the Move to my home about 65 miles away.

First Thing to do before Bringing this thing to my home is i need a filtration room in the basement to handle this beast which is located up above upstairs. seeing i did not have a room down in the basement i hired my cousin to build me one and boy did he. ;-)

yep, I've been checking in on it to see your updates. I haven't commented because I figured you would post more as you had time I'd like to see your whole build. you've got over 500 views, people want to see. (I haven't watched your video because I am usually at work on here and have to make quick looks at things)

17 minutes for a video?

I will ad more as time allows me. Yes it's a 17 minute video mainly showing my aquarium the filtration room in the basement . This video was done by a friend who moves aquariums as business and maintains them as well as a business he was also explaining how to brag corals in the video .

once the filtration room was built i had to get the carpet upstairs ripped out and have a tile floor put in, i already had a 150 gallon tank where the 500 was going and needed to move the 150 across the room so we could start ripping out the carpet. i took all the sps corals i had and put them in a small tank in my living room until they would go into there new home ( 500 gallon) here is my old 150 gallon

I'm looking forward to seeing this come to fruition. Wish I had a fish room.

Please tell me there is more support under that temporary frag tank than the all too small top of that cabinet it is resting on?

well the day came where now that the 150 gallon tank was moved across the room in what was once the dinning room is is now a fish tank room, that the carpet had to come out so that some tile could be put down. i hired my cousin for the job.

This poor guy ( my cuz) had to pull all those tiny nails out of the flooring that were holding down the carpet pad.

now comes the layer of new sub floor where the tiles will sit on, this was sanded and then used cheese cloth after to clean up the dust on the floor, the tiles will grip better to the floor
