1) before you edited your post to this you wrote I was hating on you. I wasn't. 2) regarding your comment about how I think I've never killed a single fish please let me elaborate. There's a difference between killing fish and having a fish die while under my care. I do not consider myself an expert in the care of salt water tropical fish. Because of that I have spent a long time trying to learn about the care of tropical fish from the experts. And what I have learned is that if you follow some simple rules and try not to cross boundaries your chances for success are much better than if you don't. And these are the rules and boundaries that I have stuck with and surely enough my success has been pretty good. So to answer your comment, when following responsible animal husbandry, I haven't killed a single fish. That's not to say that I haven't had fish die while under my care but the fish that I've had that died under my care have died by more natural means and not because of my irresponsibility, or my desire to continue adding and subtracting and disrupting a working balance because I'm never satisfied or because I have a need to look like some playa in the world of rare and expensive fish keeping as you repeatedly seem to do. It saddens me and I think others to continuously read your posts about unnecessary fish deaths of some hard to get and very expensive collectibles. These fish that are in short supply or are harder to collect deserve the very best in how they are kept. They are more then just things to impress others or look good in videos. You've acted irresponsibly on many occasions leading to either disease, death or both of these awesome collectibles. I think Dave's comment was a humorous attempt to advise you to not go that route again but to sit back, relax and enjoy your success. My horrible comment of "please" was nothing more than an agreement of his advice. Unfortunately it got your panties in a bunch and you seemed to have missed the point. You'd be better served to drop your martyr attitude and read the comments for its true intention because it's great advice and because your tank looks fantastic and the coral and fish selection you have is beautiful and it'd be a shame to see it change. 3) as for your comment on how there's reefers out there who have fish issues but don't post because of people like me, just yesterday I received a text from a reefer who we both know asking me questions regarding stocking of a tank. My advice was to ask Dave because he'd be a much better authority then myself on this subject. I guess what I'm saying is that I guess my posts aren't scaring all. Get your facts straight and Grow up Lawrence before attempting to flame me. Good night and Happy Reefin'

I think a lot of you have Lawrence all wrong. He has the other tank now so if he gets too many or a fish isn't working out then he has another place to put it. Yes he likes to keep some harder to keep fish. Like the idol, I would never try to keep one but he wants one so he'll try and the hard truth is it may take a couple until one makes it.
He'll keep a fish for awhile and then decide to change it for another. Sometimes I feel the same. Another example, keeping a couple achiles. I have never kept one but they are ich magnets. We all know it but he wants to try and make it work. Pioneer in a way. I have talked to him and I'm sure others have too. Maybe set the bar alittle lower. Heck he is doing water changes now. |

Everybody has their priorities. You have the other tank so you can always put some stuff in there.
I would love a majestic, regal or emperor angel in with my reef but I like corals more. How is the invader frag? Anyone taste it? |

Blue face and majestic never touch lps nor sps. But the emperor ate at least 300 worth of chalice already but still in the fence what i will do if he start nipping at my pink chalice. The multibar and hawaiian flame tasted the pectina but I already remove all the dwarf angels because they are lps and sps nippers. I am adding extra island from the dining room side

I can take that chalice if he does
Why you have to tempt me so with the majestic? I think more rock would be good. I have some bigger frags of the invader if you want one more showy. Next time I'm over there I'll bring you some zoa and we'll see who is reef safe. |

Yeah, I know they like cooler water, but how are you keeping below 79 in summertime without a chiller?
My tank will get to 83 in summer in hottest days |

Thx for the responses Lawrence. Again the tank looks amazing.
Btw I didn't see the blue carpet, is it still there or did you get rid of it? I want to add one, but I'm afraid since they can eat fish. My Black tang, and cf lancelatous can be an expensive meal if they venture too close |
