My tank is pretty low on fish right now too. I have 3 yellows I need to throw back in there. That will prolly kick up quite a bit more gunk

Let's see pics! I wanna see a skimmer that produces 4 gallons of skimmate in minutes. Your gunna have to add salt to your tank at that rate. Lol |

i just throw a full bucket of skim mate before posting .
The ATB was under performing big time since only one AIR PORT is functionally and to tell you the truth i was contemplating on switching back to my orca gold but now the the other port is open i am really impressed with ATB...

I'll put my modded ASM against a Bubble queen anyday. It's more than 10 years old but it still works beautifully. I only have to re-mesh once a year and replace the impeller every 3 years and that's it.

I can honestly say ATB skimmers when adjusted correctly can not be matched. They literally pull our pudding textured skimmate

WHY? Easy to clean, simple to adjust I've got an ASMG5 on my 400 gal system, and it works incredibly well. I also used an ASMG4+ on my 135gal FOWLR and a ASMG3 on my 70gal Quarantine. All of them worked awesome, were easy to clean and required little to no maintenance. Nice that the top just spins off with a small twist... and so nice to have the cone twist off as well (to access the body interior - for yearly cleaning). ASM has also warrantied pumps without question. Customer service is top notch, or has been for me anyway. Posting pics of the skimmate, does nothing for me. As I can produce TONS of skimmate in my 400gal by simply feeding or feeding too much in a day. I stopped feeding everyday as a result. I can also get more skimmate by a simple 45gal evap water add (my 400gal evaps that much in a week) and my RO/DI water is 000ppm. So... maybe those producing TONS of skimmate over 24hrs have too much of a bioload for their tank, or no fuge... or... as the list goes on!

Not saying the ASM doesn't work, but I hated the design of how the cup connects to the neck... the plastic got sharp and I cut myself several times. I much prefer the new skimmers with the rubber gaskets.

Whats the best skimmer on the market
ASM was the first euroreef knock off and I believe that the old RC series is still works great. ASM body really sucks and the pump are not as efficient as eheim that euroreef put on after sedra.
@ Nick 2 gallons of skimmate in 36 hours but I am wet skimming so it doesn't count still nasty skimmate tho. Also since I open up the ozone air intake the skimmer is not as quiet the sound of the air getting pulled in is noticeable now.
