threat to featherdusters?
I would like to get a diamond watchman goby & a melanurus fairy wrasse but hear that they both eat worms. While I would love for them to get rid of the pest worms, I wondered if they would harm featherdusters? I have a booming population of large featherdusters that I don't want disturbed.

Neither fish will likely bother your feather dusters. The goby eats fauna from sifting the sand bed. The wrasse will hunt amphipods all day. It's possible it will eat feather dusters, but very unlikely. The wrasse may beat up your snails, hermits and small shrimp. Nothing is guaranteed in this hobby. So called "reef safe" fish can behave just the opposite of how we describe their characteristics in text books and websites. For example, I had a so called "reef safe" yellow tang deliberately kill a maxima clam. No guarantees.
Btw, I own both fish and they are great additions to any reef tank. |
