Here's some pics of mine. I'm in the process of adding more softies to the tank.

Thanks.

I think it's around 18 in tall. I've had it for over 6 years now and it's never been fragged. It was only 4 in across when I purchased it.

It sure is beautiful, and I am thrilled that someone besides me thinks because something is big does'nt mean it has to be hacked apart.

I agree with both of you on that point, that is an awesome looking leather.

This leather is about 20 inches across. 2 years old...never fragged. I'll try to get some more shots of my tank

Those tanks are beautiful. I'm plan on setting up a softy/lps 90gal tank. Any of you using t-5's to light your tanks and have you had any problems with too much intensity? I saw mostly pc's and MH.

I believe it's some type of knobby sea rod in the eunicea family. Does it have a foul smell when it's out of the tank? That's one of the characteristics of this coral.

This tank is absolutely gorgeous!!! Please let me know how you keep the algae under control. I have some of the same zoos, & shrooms, but when they get enough light, I have too much of the green stuff. I have plenty of snails, hermits, and an Urchin, and I have begun to limit any feeding. My goal is to have a tank that looks 1/2 as good as yours!! Thanks so much, Janet in Ky.

Janet,

Algae in a softie tank can be troubling sometimes, esp. since the inhabitants like a little more nutrient in the water, for the most part. What size tank and skimmer are you running? The 20L I posted has no micro algae, but a ton of razor caulerpa (can't get rid of the stuff once it enters the system). There is only a Magnum 250 HOB and a MJ 600 for flow/filtration. My 5gal at work gets covered in micro and razor over the course of four days or so and have roughly the same filtration set up... Natural predation is usually the best method (fish or clean up like you mentioned).
