Lovely Magnifica and very similar to mine but yours is bigger. What light have you put over it now?

Quick update video of my Magnifica nem, quite a remarkable turnaround since I put the new Asta20 6500k light above it.

Pic of the nem taken, looking even better than in the pic. I think I can now safely say the 6500k light has made a big difference to the health of my nem.

Can you change the rock work so that it’s an isolated tower with sand around. And where it can’t touch the wall? I also use 6500k and notice a good response by my Mag.

Thanks,
I don't have much room for manoeuvre, however, I have removed the large rock the marble was sitting on and put the marble with nem lower down but further away from the sides, I can't put it directly on the sand as there is simply no space for it.

That's crazy it's still looking for more light?

My mag can't get to the glass, and has quite a tall pedestal. It used to try but has since given up.

I doubt it is still looking for more light, anyway so far it#s where I know have it and it can't touch the glass unless it moves over.

Hey Les sorry for the late reply, I have LEDs over the tank from Rapid LED. I also added a 32watt power compact 10K bulb. My soft corals, zoos, and shrooms seem to be happier since I did so. I again think the 10K PC bulb is providing a lower spectrum that the LEDs were not.

I honestly just think that certain strains of these mags if they feel like it can go higher it will, regardless of how much light it is or isn't getting. Like you said I think it most likely depends on where their natural habitat was before they were removed. It's even possible that some of these mags become 100% exposed to air and the suns rays during low tide. I've seen plenty pictures of nems 100% out of water due to low tide.

Removed the large rock the and created a bit more space for the flat topped rock with nem to sit on but lower down in the tank on Friday. I also fed the nem and so far it has stayed put, time will tell if it stays there or moves yet again so fingers crossed again. The nem however, is looking very well indeed and has grown considerably since I got it. I have been feeding it every other day mostly.
