Do corals benefit from a winter season?

I am just wondering if corals need a cycle throughout the year just as trees need. Vs keeping them at the same temp everyday,
A yearly cycle should provide a fast growth and slow growth season.

So the question is "do corals benefit from a winter season"?

Imo Opinion during the winter tanks are less algae prone...

That might very well be because we are inside our homes more during the winter thus taking better care of our tanks.
