Where to get halide bulbs

I have been reef keeping since the late eighties and have used halides exclusively. However, now I am having a hard time finding replacement bulbs. I have 175 ballasts x 4 and use home made cheap ballasts from commercial fixtures. Previously I have had good luck with XM and Coralife 10k bulbs. For the last few years I have been getting great deals on these on eBay. However, now I cannot find either listed. I can’t even find them new from distributors. Has everyone gone to LED? I keep a mix of lps, sps, and softies. Any help would be appreciated.

But you will have to ask if their lamps are Probe or Pulse Start? Your old ballast are probably Probe Start which very rarely start a pulse start lamp.

Hamilton seems to be one of the last beacons of hope for quality mh bulbs. As mentioned you may need to Change ballasts.

1000bulbs still show the plusrite's in stock. I can't say anything about the 175's, but I've used the 250's with good success.
