need help!!!!

hey guys

got some coral issues both on softy and lps scale.

parameters:
7.8ph
78 degrees
7-8 d/kh
440 Calc
0 phos/nitrat/ammon/nitir
haven't tested mag yet

i have a flame angel, a scooter blenny and 3 chromis, haven't seen anyone picking.

Anyone have any suggestions on why the xenias got fried or the deterioration on the leathers?

i run blues (t5) for 12 hours and 2 whites (t5) for 8.

just added a electric probe last week, cant think that does anything to hurt.

Please help!!

it looks like my xenias got fried somehow and the leather just started having issues. anyone have any suggestions?

Its impossible to tell anything from those pictures..
The leathers look ok and I can't see anything in the others.. (pics too small and blurry.. the acid trip blue one is useless like that)..

Do you have all submerged equipment on a GFCI (or RCD) device?
If not get the ground probe out of the tank..

actually no, the equipment is on a power cord. could the ground probe be causing issues then?

Ground probe or not... it's not a smart idea to have a tank without having all submerged line powered equipment protected via a GFCI device..
A GFCI device will protect you from shock/electrocution should a fault develop in your tank..
Just like the GFCI device (outlet) mandated in all bathrooms,etc.. will protect you should you accidentally drop a curling iron into your bathtub when you are in it..
You can purchase simple plug in devices that feature GFCI protection/power strips that have it, or could go as far as replacing the outlet with a GFCI rated one or even the circuit breaker feeding that room..

The only proven use for a ground probe is to create a constant path to ground that will allow the GFCI device to trip (cut power) the instant a fault develops vs waiting for an alternate/temporary path to ground to exist (through your body,etc...)

I would get the ground probe out and, start dosing Purple Tech, or a similar coral mineral supplement, and up white to 10 hours per day for a while, see if that helps them in a couple of months.

The one thing that can normally kill xenia is a low kh. I'd re-check that. What brand are you using to check kh?
