Tunze 6125 rattles when switched on

Just purchased a 6125 and when flipped on it rattles really bad. Any suggestions?

This would be normal for a second or 2 when it starts, but if it persists we will need to check into it further. AC prop pumps will typically have to hit a stop and correct direction on start up and that is what causes this noise.

Yes, with the DC models the start up is guided by electronics so they can only spin the right way, AC is a mechanical direction correction.

On that model nothing is glued, can you clarify what has happened? The propeller is pressed on to a magnet which has plastic molded through a magnetic core. I have not encountered breakage issues before, about the only form of breakage we see is on the AC pumps if they are frequently cycled on and off the ends of the propellers can break off from the same impact that causes the noise, they are not meant to run on any sort of controller or wave maker though they can be stopped infrequently for feeding etc.
