One more wrasse?
I have a medium yellow and small mystery in my 42g. Looking at an orange-back. Any chance all three will get along?

I'd say it's too many. The yellow wrasse will grow too big for that tank anyways and the mystery wrasse will become a jerk with time.

I think the yellow is fine.
I agree the mystery might give you trouble. You might try to find a smaller fairy wrasse too.

Agree, mystery will be pita... and personally I’ve never had any luck keeping orangebacks for very long (but that might be because I do keep a lot of other fairy wrasses at the same time).

All the Lined wrasses, Pseudocheilinus genus, included Pseudocheilinus ocellatus (Mystery wrasse) will become very aggressive toward other wrasses especially in small tanks.

Not to hijack this thread, but are there any wrasses you’d suggest that I look into to pair with my melenarus? Ideally I’d like 3 wrasses in my 110G (5Ft).
Other livestock: Clown pair, flame hawk, royal gramma, watchman goby Wishlist: Midas blenny, Yellow tang, wrasses (2). |
