Frogspawn Extended in Morning retracted afternoon
My frogspawn is fully extended and beautiful in the morning and happy. So full the heads are touching each other.
Toward the late morning and all afternoon one of the heads will clamp up and retract quite a bit. I've posted to pictures depicting this even though it's at two different locations in the pic the same thing happens as it's in the current location (on the rock). I don't think it's too much light as it's 1/4 of the way up from the bottom near the side of my tank and I only have an AP700 running at 30 percent when max. Flow also I don't think is that big of a deal. It's under powerhead and kind of near return pump flow but not that close. It's been in the tank a week and seems ok besides the way it shrinks daily. Any help is appreciated Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

That tank looks brand new and that coral has only been in there for a week. I would just wait it out and see what happens. For now keep up on water changes and keep testing. Also when asking for advice on corals and what not it's a good practice to list out all the current parameters and list any changes or mishaps with the tank.

Thanks for the heads up. It's been a week and maybe I just need to be more patient. Been feeding zooplanktos-l to corals and brine to fish

Tank has been running since April 5th. Half live sand and half crushed coral.

My honest opinion is the tank is too new for LPS coral. You also need to raise your calcium and alkalinity a little bit What is your magnesium levels as that is very important

For me the water change seems more consistent than dosing. And i am dosing kalk in the ATO. But very little. Like 3 teaspoons per 5 gallons.
Demand isn't high enough for dosing yet. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
