Roger,

Im looking into purchasing the 3155 Osmolator but my topoff tank is about 10 feet from the sump. Will this work at that distance?

The pump can reliably handle 8ft of head, it comes with 9ft of tubing. You can do longer horizontal runs and you can buy the tubing in a 32ft roll, part 5000.380. I would point out a couple of concerns only because most of the time when a reservoir is remote, the reason is it is large. Consider reservoir size the final safety, you don't generally want a larger reservoir then in the worst case scenario your system could handle the full volume being added. Also, keep in mind that the hose must terminate above the reservoir water level, if you pump down hill, a siphon will occur and the safeties of the controller cannot stop a siphon.

My reservoir is 35 gallons and it currently sits about 4 ft off the ground as I'm using a cheap float valve and gravity. With the pump I can place the reservoir on the floor so overflowing shouldn't be an issue Thanks for the advice ill be ordering one today.

It should work, just pump to the main tank and not the sump.
