I think it is a maybe a chaeto species. I have some and I saw it in a book last night. I have 2 species, one that is growing shorter, maybe around an inch long? And one that is around six inches at this time. It adds a deep green foreground. I like it.

i thought some type of chaeto as well the first time i saw it, there are no fronds of any type so i don't think it's a byopsis. will keep it isolated with a little light and see how it grows, it is currently about an inch high, is stiff, and stays upright when out of water.
