Was doing some searching on the Atman pumps and found that the PH2000 has an air intake of 450 l/h and the PH2500 is 500 l/h. Oh for those that have the PH1100 its 200 l/h .

Dont know just curious to see if a mesh wheel works any better. I agree as the skimmer is it pulls in a lot of air.

Thank you for the comment on the review. I was glad to do it and was surprised by all the positive feed back and how many people have tried this skimmer.

Venturi?

Hmm...
Recorded this video, wondering if a venturi silencer (Like the swc160one) would quite this scratching noise?

Anyone have experience with them?

Kinda gotta turn your volume wayyy up.

im having the same sound issue now the skimmer has broken in. i put a silencer on it but i have to darn near close the valve for it to be a low hum. i hope this gets a good fix soon because call me crazy i think mine is getting louder. for the first 2 weeks it was almost silent so im hoping maybe a silence made for this skimmer would be a good option

Saw your vid, nice jacuzzi tub.

Is this going to go in your sump, and in your stand or the basement?
Have you tried it there yet?

Mine is no problem, no added silencer, in my sump, that's in my stand.

Either way, I hope you get it worked out.

What is the diameter of the neck

Is this skimmer too big for a 60 gallon reef. Can someone please measure the diameter of the neck of thr skimmer? I did not see it anywhere on the previous 14 pages but I might have just missed it.
Thanks

About how long does the shipping take? I'm in San Francisco and I heard the seller is in Cali as well. Hoping to get it by the end of this week.

Anyone having issues with the external pump model of having to constantly adjust the water output? Everyday it seems to want to run at a different number and not pull as much out. I cannot get it to pull the skim in 24 hrs like I posted in the picture earlier. Might end up returning it : /
