Refugium
I don’t have a sump, I have a hang on back skimmer and was wandering if I should add a hang on back refugium. I have a 75 gallon tank. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Depends on if you want one. They arent needed but if your wanting to have a safe spot for pods or if you want to grow macro for nitrate/phosphate reduction help. Or just grow/have one because you enjoy it. Some macros are very pretty and some people make a display fuge for this reason. Lots of reasons to have one if you want one but not a requirement

Are you having issues with high nitrates or phosphates? re you trying to increase your pod population? If so then adding a refugium would be a good idea, if not then there s no need.

I’m still learning, my tank is only 3 weeks old. Just wanting to make sure I have all the right stuff.

Give it time to mature before thinking you have problems.. All tanks have slight nitrate issues when new..
