Jebao dcp series..or the newer one with wave mode which would be good for a closed loop application

Fluval sp-6 for good flow and low noise.

Thanks I'll check those out, wonder if they have as long a life as the old Snapper.

The Fluval uses an Askoll block that is proven to last a very long time with semi regular maintenance.

I used a fluval seas pump on my CL, worked well. I subsequently replaced it with a vectra M1 because I wanted to be able to vary flow. Are the Jebao pumps recommended for external use? Didn’t think they were. My own personal experience with thecreeflo pumps was that they aren’t particularly reliable, thus I don’t use them anymore. My M1 is closing on 4 problem-free years of use.

The new Jebao DCQ pumps, the generation after the fairly reliable DCP series now have wave modes, similar to the Vectras. This feature I’d image would be ideal for closed loop applications.
