When was the App released?
Not sure what version I'm on but I can take a look.

I do know one light keeps shutting down since I set up and haven't spent much time trying to figure out why since the tank has no water yet.

I have dowloaded the IOS one when I got the lights, maybe 5-6 months ago. No issues at all.
Ive also doenloaded the android for my phone and also works with no problems...
I guess the new one has a bug

What is the bug? Did Orphek confirm that there is a bug in the app?

The last time this happened they denied the problem for a long time and then finally admitted they had "the 3hr. Bug" which meant that you couldn't program ramp times longer than 3hrs or the light would go all haywire. It was easy enough to work around but the bug still persisted and never really got fixed.

I don't think it's the app. Although it does seem strange that it started with the new version. They sent me a new gateway. I was finally able to get it to connect with the old gateway. It lasted all night and day. Then I moved the gateway 2 more feet away and lost the connections. Moved it back and after about 2 hours, got the connection back. Now, this location is 10 feet from the lights. Originally it was set up about 25 feet away. The new app came out on 1/3/2017. Of course, Ofir developed it and is swearing it's not the app. I still have my doubts. But for now, they are connected and working. Will keep you posted. Anyone else try the app update?

Forgot to mention, this is the IOS version.

Update: the lights have stayed connected where the gateway is located. I'm almost afraid to move it. So, I don't believe it's the app. I have everything moved out of my old tank and into the new. I have started purchasing some corals. A nice Birdsnest and a few Acans. All of which seem to growing and happy. I do really like these lights.
