Bangaii cardinal changing colour
We have a 90g mixed reef tank with three bangaii cardinals which have been in for about 5 months. Now the female is turning brown. Its behaving normally, eating well, not getting bullied as far as we can see, but it's back and tail have taken on a reddish brown hue. Is it a disease? Part of the mating process? Or something else?! Tank mates are 5 blue star damsels (newest addition 2 weeks ago), pair of clowns (6 months ago), pair of orchid dottybacks (3 months ago) and a purple firefish (4 months ago). Everything was quarantined a fortnight before being added. Params: nitrates 5, phosphate 0.1, ammonia 0, ph 8, alk 7.7, calcium 415, mag 1260, sg 1.025, temp 24.6.

Are you sure it's the female who is darkening?
With my pairs it were the males who got darker and it seems to be normal.
