Which Model for 93g Heavily Stocked?
It's a 93g cube with the Trigger Systems Ruby 20 cube sump. Footprint in the sump is 11.675 x 12 but the section is also euro braced and has a filter sock holder in one corner. I see there are a couple with very small footprints, so I don't think this will be an issue.
I would like to be able to carry the skimmer over to an upgrade later on, most likely 125-180g. The tank is not running yet, so I will have a very light bioload at first. I'm open to the idea of not running a skimmer until the bioload builds up more, if it will afford me a skimmer that can be used on a bigger tank later. The tank will be primarily zoas and lps and lots of fish and heavy feeding.

For your current system, I would suggest a Mini 160 given the sump chamber constraints. It's good for tanks up to 135 gallons and could support a larger tank as well with a reasonable load. If you told me you had a 180 gallon display or were going to upgrade sooner than later to one of that size, then I'd suggest the Mini 180. You could run the Mini 180 on this display but it won't be very consistent (especially with a light load) and you would have to run it wet to maintain reasonable consistency.

That's what I was afraid of. Mini 160 it is. Do you know of any upcoming promotions/sales? I have time. Thank you!

I believe Aquarium Specialty and Premium Aquatics have MBK 160's in stock... I would call and ask for In Stock, sometimes their website show in stock when not.

Just curious. What's the replacement cost of the pump on the MBK 160?
Edit - I just found it flipping back and forth between the two retailers you mentioned. It looks like it's $450-470ish. Which pump exactly is it that comes with the Gen 3? I see a VS07 and VS09 but being pumps for that skimmer. Thank you so much for your time!

The VS12 version of the pump will come with the skimmer.
As long as regular maintenance is performed on the skimmer pump, including a cleaning of the bearing every 6 months or so, the pump should last you quite some time. We see folks with original pumps, 6-8 years going strong.
