CO2 and DI resin

Is anyone using a CO2 scrubber to extend DI Resin life & save money?

My local (city) water supply has made some changes operationally and I'm now using much more DI resing than I used to. I've decided the main problem is excess CO2.

I'd like to hear if anyone has built/installed a CO2 scrubber and, if so, was the outcome favorable or unfavorable (not worth it)?

(My question is not how to build one so I'm not posting in the DIY forum at this point. I'm currently getting about 50 Galllons per 10 inch cartridge. I used to get 5 to 6times that.)

Thanks for any posts!
