Make sure you buy the dry rock and pick the lightest, most porous pieces you can find.

Normal water changes worked well for me
My point. I was assuming no water changes.

I've seldom ever used a phosphate removal chemical, and definitely not harvested macro
What I mean was that there was still a P-removal process going on, via the waterchange. Laborious, yes.

IMO, frequent and large water changes with vacuuming is STILL the number one part of a seahorse keeping regimen.

Just set the heater for 68° so it won't allow the tank to get too cool.
Was that a catfish in the second picture?

Sorry to see/hear that. How did that happen? Did the cat mess with the tank?

You may want to consider a lizard for that tank with the sand at this point.

New tank is needed if you plan to try this again.

Hope it works out next time

If you have a Petco local...see if they have the $1 gallon sale so you can save a few bucks

I don't kno how it happened..It wasn't like that yesterday when I filled it up..I had just got home an cleaned my new rocks an was puttin them in an sat back to admire it then I noticed drops comin from the bottom an felt my carpet was wet so I emptied it out to see where it was comin from thinkin it was just around the edges but noticed this long crack..I'm just glad I saw it before I put the salt in there cuz I was just about to do that to. Yea they have it I just don't know when they gon have the sell but I found one on Craigslist just waitin on the guy to txt me back but since its late i probably won't hear from him till tomorrow.

Other than dropping a rock in the tank, the only other reason for the crack IMO would be a surface that the tank sits on not being "true", so that the tank has a tendency to twist, eventually causing the crack.
I have repair this before merely by removing the silicone and having a glass sheet cut to the inside dimension and siliconing that in place with silicone between the glass sheets and of course all around the edges like normal.

I doubt you need a new stand but just need to make sure it is dead level.
First, use a level to check the stand surface being level, and then set the tank on the stand and see if there is any small gaps at any point, between the top of the stand and the bottom of the tank. If so, use a sheet of Styrofoam to put between the tank and stand.

Well see what had happened was..with the filters on the back (I've always used inside filters in the tank) I had to tilt it off the dresser a little causing the back of the tank to be staple but the front of it was hanging off it whereas the glass was resting on the edge of the glass part instead of the trim causing a lot of pressure ..so what I'll have to do is take everything out an push the dresser closer to my bed so it will be stable an not cause a lot of pressure on one side
