How long has it been stuck in its mouth? Almost looks like coarse sand to me. Let others chime in and see if anyone has ever seen thus.

looks like crushed coral to me, but i dont have a clue if it could be anything else.

Yeah I agree on the crushed coral. It is hard to tell from the pic tho. I have a yellow watch man that will actually grab a few pieces and hold them in his mouth. He will eventually spit then out though.
