Feedback on new 325g setup

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post, i have loved salt water tanks since i was a kid, have always wanted one and i finally have the means to afford one. I am a complete newbie and so i have enlisted the help of a local installer to design, build and maintain my new tank. I was hoping i can post a list of what was being recommend/quoted and see if anyone had any feedback as to what was being offered. I had a fairly open budget and asked for top of the line with whatever redundancy and fail safes that made sense for the setup. List below...

96x26x30 Custom acrylic tank (325 gallons)

96x26x40 powder coated steel stand

Custom 60x18x18 sump filter (67 gallons)

Skimz Monster SM251 protein skimmer

(3) Ecotech radion xr30 pro led light

Radion RMS arm kit

90.5” RMS track (3) RMS light slides

(2)Ecotech Vortech MP 60 quiet drive wave makers

Ecotech Vectra L1 return pump

Aqua Ultraviolet 80 watt uv sterilizer

Kessil H380 Halo refugium light w/ arm mount

Apex Controller

Apex energy bar

Apex Vortech wireless module

Apex breakout box

Osmolator 3155 auto top off

Auto top off reservoir

BRS 150 gallon per day RODI system

(2) 300 watt eheim jager heaters

300 lbs liverock

200 lbs live sand

Looks good, but you will need more lights if you plan on keeping any light demanding corals. It will not have a consistant light intensity across the tank with only three lights. Most everything else is goid quality. You may need one more 300 watt heater if you let your house get cool in the winter.

I would go with at least 4 if not 5 lights

I agree a 8 ft tank needs 4 lights minimum. The two heaters might be enough depending on where you live. I'm in South Florida and my heater only comes on a few times a year. Welcome to RC

I am in Pa. The tank is going in my finished basement so the temp is a constant 72 degrees.

A couple changes to the initial specs...

Increased size to 120x26x30 (405g)

Increased sump to 60x18x18 (84g)

Increased to qty 5 radion xr30 lights.
