ABC Reefs 2 open!

A second smaller ABC reefs opens tomorrow. North west of Syracuse. SW & FW. Nice for Cicero, Clay, B'ville, Fulton, Oswego, Liverpool, etc.

No I don't work for them. Yes I pay full retail!

After feeling like the only guy outside of Rochester or Binghamton for Years, I'm just really excited to see the scene grow by leaps and bounds in CNY!!!!

You have no ideal how great you have it, I don't even know anyone within a three hour drive that has a tank let alone a shop with more than 20 gal with a few dieing corals!!!!!!

I plan on a visit soon. Their FB page says sale will be in Feb. Both stores are about an hour from me.

Awesome! Now I'm just waiting for ABC3 in Dewitt/Fayetteville/Manlius.

481 to 31 and you're right there! ABC 1 was almost in Fayetteville but the deal fell through and it wound up 2 miles from our last house. I had to move. 6 miles is a better cushion.

But NOW my job is changing locations and I'll be driving by ABC1 twice a day.....gotta start pickin up some OT!

Google maps claims 51 minutes for this location and 41 for ABC1. By no means am I complaining that I have two awesome reef stores within an hour. In fact as you guys are indicating, this is probably much safer on my wallet than if they HAD put one in Fayetteville (which is only 25 minutes).

Have any of you been to the new store yet? I am wondering what the livestock is like, if it'll be a different focus than the current store or just more of the same.

More of the same. SW & FW stock available. Store has just been stocked up and not-so-grand opening is today. RC's for $40 is worth the trip!

Stopped in. Store looks great, clean, nice layout, and a really nice 10 foot long tank that is waiting to get wet! Couple nice wrasses, I'm sure the store will be stocking up the tanks as things get into full swing!

Yeah it wouldn't be good at all if the stores were any closer. We'd stop feeding the kids.

I visited today, it looks great! And has that 'New Store' smell. One of the tanks has a live rock wall covering the back on the tank. That will look amazing! Good luck guys with the new store!

Stopped in today, picked up a few things.

The store looks great! The layout is really pleasing, tons of tanks for both fresh and saltwater, and lots of good quality equipment on the shelves. The display tank with the rock wall looks pretty darn good, and will look even better as it "ages" and matures. Definitely looking forward to the extremely looooong look down tank being set up!!!!

I can already tell that there will be some differences in livestock as compared to the original ABC, which will definitely make it worth the drive to visit both stores!!

If you haven't been able to visit yet, ABC 2 is getting in a livestock shipment on Thursday, so if you have a chance, stop on by!!!

tycoakly, you're in Cortland! 1/2 an hour from me! There really aren't too many people down our way that I know of. You might also want to check out the Southern Tier Reef Society based around Binghamton. They are having a frag swap this Saturday. Don't know of any meetings tho'.
