Hang on Filter?

I have a friend who has a custom shaped 90gal tank with a stand that won't fit a sump filter. What hang on filtration do you guys recommend for him.

Hang on filter for a 90g is not enough. There is no way a hang on will go through enough water in a 90g to keep it clean.

You can try using a hang on back skimmer. There are a number of them available such as Deltec, Aqua C, Reef Octopus, etc

All depends on what you are trying to keep. SPS, no, there really is no way. If its softies and lightly stocked, a HOB skimmer and HOB refugium can work. Take it from my mistake, plan what type of reef you want and do the research on RC what worked and what didn't.
