That being said though I use an A150 on my 20 Long Frag Tank which is only good for 18 Inches.
How about the a360we? That should be wide enough for a 30".

Yes I have A350Ws and coverage at the perimeter is fine. I have a Trachyphyllia geoffroy, a couple of Palys and some blue Sympodium growing right at the edge of the tank and they're all doing great.

Depends what you are doing.

Kessil says that they are good for 24 X 24 X 24

I'm starting my setup and was trying to estimate the number of A360we's I'd need for a 48x48x20d tank, I'm thinking probably 5 in order to provide overlap and allow me to angle them a bit. Arranged pretty much like the number 5 on a dice. Going to be mainly LPS in this tank but I'm sure I won't be able to resist adding in some SPS eventually, if nothing more then to try them under a different light then my 150 gallon SPS tank

Let me know what you guys think.

5 360s and you won't have any trouble with SPS and LPS. Sounds like a great tank.

That's overkill if you ask me. 2 or 3 with the 90 degree elbows should do the trick. These things are very bright so your not gonna be using max intensity with all 5 running especially with overlap. It has about a 25"-30" spread.

Four would be sufficient for a mixed reef tank. I would put five on it if were more SPS dominant. Love the dimensions of your tank, a large cube is something that I plan to build in the future. Good luck!

+1 Four is good coverage, and you can always add a fifth later.

Wanted to bump this thread. How is everyone liking their kessils a350's? I've only had mine for a few weeks and running ch1 at 50% ch 2 at 30% by reading the last few pages seems I should turn up some.

I've been using one over a poison dart frog tank (Tuna Sun) and it's been great

For my new build, I'm crossing my fingers that Kessil makes an A380 analog to their new H380 - or, at least, uses the new brighter chips in a new 360..

I'm just getting my 29g biocube setup and a friend is willing to sell me an a360 narrow at a really good price. Would this give enough spread? if so, how high should I try to mount the light? Would the gooseneck give me enough distance? I know I will have to start the light out at low intensity! but will I ever be able to get it up to 100% without frying my coral? I am a bit new to LED lights, and this is my first tank in a while. Thanks!

P.S. the biocube dimensions are 20x21x18.65

I have two Kessil 350's one is dead silent but the other's fan is extremely loud. Is there some way to reduce the noise?
