What R your parameters currently?

Your DT is just over a month old, yup, algae, and over the next 6 months your going to have the uglies, completely normal. WC frequently and consistently and maintaining reef normal parameters and pull, brush and vacuum. Your bacteria must achieve sufficient quantities, to process the load, be it small at this time.

100% absolutely normal new tank ugly stages and a cloud from new bacterial bloom/growth..
All will pass in time with proper tank husbandry...

Sounds good! ill continue doing weekly water changes of 20G (its a 100G cube) and let it go through its course.

I haven't been testing for much aside from Nitrate, Nitrite and Ammonia for the cycle which by now its cycled for sure. Clown fish and all inverts are doing great.

I never vacuumed the sand bed when doing water changes, I simply siphon water out and replace with new saltwater. Research taught me to go with not disturbing the sand bed and allowing micro fauna, snails, crabs take care of that naturally...

Not vacuum the sand bed fine but I was more referring to removing (exporting) the excess nutrients which will build up quickly during the ugly stages, right now, you are not yet in the ugly stage, but it's coming and while CUC will consume some, they will not be able to keep up until these bloom stages cease.

I've learned to weeken the algae and use a siphon to vaccuum it out into a bucket where my filter socks sit then transfer that water back into sump when vacuuming on a non water change day!! works like a charm. still going through uglies myself, but now i;m on top of algae and not the other way around

Even easier is to just use a small clamp and stick the sock in the sump. Then you won't have to stop every 5 gallons.
