TB Annularis Angel

Just wondering how these have been working out for those of you that have them. I did a few searches here on RC, and haven't been able to find many recent updates (last ones were from mid 2013 or so).

Thanks!

I bought mine from Live Aquaria in June 2013. When he arrived, he was the size of a quarter. He survived a horrible case of ich, and is now almost 4". I think the TR Annularis is a fantastic fish.

July 2013

July 2014, his adult coloration is coming in just fine.

Sorry for a noob question but what does the TB stand for?

I really appreciate you posting the growth pics! Looks like yours is transitioning very nicely! I think I'm going pull the trigger and place an order with LA this evening!

Sorry to hear that your fish didn't make it. I have had this happen on several occasions as well in spite of every effort on my part to ensure otherwise.

Grabbed one off from DD today, it should be here tomorrow morning, it's going in with the tb scribbled juvi I picked up recently. My hopes are they will keep each other company until they grow out enough for the DT; we shall see if they play nice...

they are wonderful fish...mine is almost 2 and went from 1.25 to 8 inches with adult coloration...her colors changed over quickly and she was quite small, around 3.00 inches, which pleasantly surprised me... it seems as though perhaps the wild caught annularis don't change over as fast or when the fish are as small as their tank bred counterparts...lol, it makes sense....

Here are a couple cell phone pics of my 2 from their 2nd day in QT. I decided to keep them (separated) in a fish-less tank with LR and lots of algae and sponge growth to fatten up a bit before moving them over and attempting any type of meds (prazi, etc...).

Looking forward to watching them grow up!

I got mine when it was a about the size of a nickel last December and put him in my frag tank, he started changing colors around 2.5-3" and is now 4-5" and almost done changing all his colors… He now runs my 180 gall reef, one of the best fish I've owned.

Just an update... I am amazed at how fast these guys are growing! In the short time that I've had them, they have nearly doubled in size/girth. I've been feeding them no less than 7 times/day (LRS reef frenzy, LRS herbivore frenzy, NLS, Nori, a few different types of angel formula, Spirulina brine, and Mysis). Prazi didn't curb their appetites one bit! Now that the medicated QT is over, I'm thinking it's about time to cut the feedings back to 5 per day and see how it goes. I tried to get some growth pics to post, but my phone's camera isn't the best and I just have a lot of pics of blue/white blurs.

Good to hear! Was wondering how yours has been doing since we got them around the same time, and are likely from the same spawning.
