There was food grade sodium triphosphate available on Amazon, I think. That'd be fine.

Contact a pool chemical supplier and ask for prices of nsf approved for drinking water liquid polyphosphate. Around here its about $75 a gallon it's used for sucqustration of metals like iron or mangnese and to coat the inside of pipes to stop corrosion. Most pool chem suppliers also sell this grade. You can litterally take a drop of this mix it in a gallon on water and dose that by drop

Feed your fish more. Corals can distinguish between nitrogen based on it's source and prefer fish poop there's no reason to believe they can't do the same for phosphate.

Check Etsy for trisodium phosphate. About 8 bucks and free shipping.

A non-food-grade product probably will be okay, given the low amount entering the tank. The drinking-water product probably will be fine, too.

This is what I use to dose my tank.
https://www.amazon.com/Monosodium-Ph...70_&dpSrc=srch You can use the following formula to calculate your values. When I mix up PO4 dosing solution, I make it such that 1ml of dosed solution will raise my tank volume by 0.01ppm PO4. NaH2PO4 molecular weight = 119.98g/mol, PO4 = ~95g/mol. TANK_VOLUME_IN_LITERS * 0.01ppm (this is the value you can change if you want to make your solution stronger/weaker) = ?? mg Be aware that this is milligrams, not grams. Very little goes a long way. |
