Octo Food

Hi Again,

Just wondering if I can feed a bimac hermit crabs caught here off the coast of Southern California? Would there be some sort of toxins or something in their body that could harm the octo (considering they are coming from 2 different parts of the world).

Thanks!

-Tyler

Hi
I have fed many of my octopuses local caught hermits and green crabs with no problem. What you need to check is local collection laws and see if its ok if you are going to collect alot.

Cool thanks, I will check the laws. I was more concerned by the possibilty of runoff chemicals or something. But seems unlikely.

Thanks again!
